Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Masks

_{My most recent mask project. At least it started as a mask, it somehow ended up being a whole head.

Made this because I didn't want to be walking around RMFC next month looking like a douche with just a tail or something, and since I'm not a fursuiter either the logical thing was to do what I do anyway and make some kind of mask. And since skulls are my thing, this happened.

It was going to be a deer or dog skull initially because those are mostly what I have on hand for reference. But it morphed into a somewhat stylized bird skull instead because pretty much nobody does birds whereas everyone and their cousin does dogs and wolves. That and I didn't want to look like I was trying to copy Breynz (this amazing suit [link]), because I'm not a loser and that was never the intention.

The visibility inside it is quite good, the nostrils are breathable so you don't suffocate inside and the back opens and closes with hidden snaps.

SHWEET! I'm trying to make it back to RMFC in 2013, but I'm not sure I'll have the money. Might have to drive this time, so we won't have to pay for shipping and plane tickets. You wouldn't happen to go to FC, would ya?

Perhaps you could take a train or a bus since that's cheaper than flying? I took a greyhound from Grand Junction to Denver and back and it was only $100 for the round trip, it sucked because it was such a long drive but it was affordable. Amtrak is even cheaper if you can get the tickets early enough (like four or five months in advance) so that's what I'll do in 2013.

Ffffff I want so badly to go to FC since some of my friends will be there but I won't be able to do it unfortunately :[
