Behold the latest addition to my already very crowded Star Trek OC collection. We all know TOS is where my heart lives, but I love the others too and I'm on a DS9 kick right now.
Before I even say anything else, don't nitpick that her head is disproportionally big- she's deathly skinny, that's how you look when you get deathly skinny. She's not a human anyway.
Name: Darryn Raajan Age: 30-ish Height: 5'6" Weight: I dunno exactly, but very thin on account of ill health. Species: Something stupid I made up called an Etaaran. They're telepathic and their blood is dark purple.
Appearance:
Skin- Pure white with dark purple markings (I'll do a better pic showing the markings soon).
Eyes- Vibrant flame orange/red/yellow.
Hair- Dusky ash blonde.
I'll try to keep this as short as possible. Basically she lived a happy little life on this planet in the gamma quadrant with her husband Malek, who was just wonderful and perfect. He was a scientist and she was a computer specialist. Now, on this planet, to cure diseases and such they experiment on people rather horribly instead of doing it properly. One day when Darryn was six months pregnant with their kid, she goes for a routine doctor visit that ended up revealing that she'd picked up a brand-new undiscovered disease that mutated from something Malek was exposed to in the lab; he wasn't affected but he passed it to her by accident. Basically it starts in the lungs and starts eating them away from the inside out. So, despite much protest, she's shipped off to be "studied". And since the people who work in those places work there because they're sick and sadistic, they go way over the top and do things that are completely unnecessary. So Darryn ends up subjected to all manner of horrendously cruel treatment, including them cutting out the fetus and experimenting on that, too. This goes on for about a week until Malek is able to break her out and sneak her off the planet in a little spacecraft. She of course won't leave him willingly but he knocks her out and launches it; he's then promptly gunned down by the bad guys.
....aaaand then basically the ship ends up in the alpha quadrant via teh wormhole, Starfleet finds it, she lives on a starbase for almost a year while they try to figure out what to do with her. She's pretty much despondent the whole time but manages to block some of the misery with her speshal telepathic powah enough so that she can function, and at some point decides to join Starfleet. Then they post her to DS9 at some point afterwards.
Ughhhhhhhh, that was going to be short. Never is. ....
